For more than four decades John of God,a psychic medium from Brazil, has had extraordinary success in helping people heal from all kinds of emotional and physical diseases through spiritual healing. People come with AIDS, cancer, paralysis, blindness, mental disease --as well as a desire to improve their abilities as health professionals, or grow spiritually.

Whom Does He Serve?

Each day he works in Abadiania, a small town in the high plains of Brazil, hundreds wait in line to consult with him. João does his healing work as a free service, with anyone who seeks him out. You, too, can visit him. To the right are two volunteers, Joao and Marisa, who have experienced healing, and now return to the Casa as volunteers.

How Do I Get Oriented?

Your guide, Emma Bragdon, PhD, has been an advocate for visitors at the center since 2001. She is compassionate, dependable, and attends to each person, uniquely. She is familiar with the community and João's ways of working. She will assist you to understand how to honor the special culture and protocols of João’s sanctuary so you are in a position to fully receive what is offered.
