During the first days I visited the sanctuary of John of God,in
March,2001, I was asked to become a guide. I was recognized as a medium
and told that I had a particular mission--to educate people throughout
the world about the Casa and Brazilian Spiritism.

Sitting in the meditation room at the Casa I have been profoundly inspired--and
given the energy-- to write a book about the Casa, another book about
Spiritism, and two films on similar themes. Each time I was inspired, I

went to John of God first with the initial idea, later with the
work-in-process, and finally with the completed book or film. Each step
of the way, he blessed it. Out of this 'collaboration' came "Spiritual
Alliances: Discovering the Roots of Health at the Casa de Dom Inacio"
(2002), "Kardec's Spiritism: A Home for Healing and Spiritual
Evolution" (2004), and the 30 minute documentary, "I do not Heal, God
is the One Who Heals"(2006).

Professionally, my past in a nutshell: private practice as a psychotherapist in California...
12 years teaching 9-day workshops to accelerate spiritual growth...author
of books on the process of spiritual awakening. Since 1966, I have studied extensively
with Buddhist teachers and Shamans of the Native American traditions.

My healing at the the Casa has been about accepting the invitation I received
when I arrived, getting clearer about my life purpose, working together with
some wonderful people who share that same life purpose, and having the honor of
introducing others to John of God and his work.
My life has been blessed a million times over, for which I am deeply grateful.
